doreen dodgen-magee, psy.d. is an award winning author, speaker, & psychologist. she has traveled the globe researching and speaking about how technology affects our brains and bodies, our relationships, and the development of our sense of self. she is the author of\u00a0deviced! balancing life and technology in a digital world<\/a>\u00a0which was awarded the 2019 gold nautilus prize for psychology. doreen spends her time thinking about how boredom, inconvenience, and discomfort might just serve as perfect muses worthy of moderating our technology use for. she loves strong coffee, dancing, her meditation cushion, and people\u2026especially people. she lives in portland, oregon.<\/p>\n

This hour is dedicated to all Black lives. Black lives, past, present and future. I stand in solidarity with the BLACK LIVES MATTER movement and Black lives. I stand against the injustice and violence and brutality on Black people that is going on and has been going on for centuries upon centuries, upon which countries have been built. This hour is steeped in my commitment and responsibility to be anti-racist, to contribute to social justice and freedom, to keep learning and taking action so as not to contribute to perpetuating the violence and systemic injustice, inequities and biases facing Black Lives, Indigenous Lives and on the lives of people of colour.<\/p>\n
