Some of my beliefs that inspire what I do and who I am
Using and trusting your intuition is a way of being. A way of being that requires self awareness, heartfulness and trust.
We need connection, we need each other. We are in this together. Not in the same boat but navigating the same sea. We are a global community. To kindness, sensitivity, compassion, curiosity, diversity, justice, equity, and understanding.
When we first respond to our own needs we can then best serve our families, our communities, our children, partners, employees, classmates, colleagues, the planet and world.
Self-inquiry and unveiling our idealized image is what can help us unveil our authentic selves and live from the heart. When we live according to an (egoic) image of how our life or others lives’ should be, we create our own internal suffering. I continue to soften the way I think my life should be, or my kids’ life should be and life in general, and of course it’s a work in progress but it does make the journey easier holding this close.
Embracing what it means to be human brings great relief, it helps reduce striving, comparison, perfectionism, judging, misrepresenting, alienating and increases compassion, kindness, empathy, understanding and love. May we see each other as we truly are, each with our own histories, ancestries, stories and experiences that need to be heard, stories told and differences celebrated, all connected, by a shared humanity, so we can progress individually and collectively.
Committed to having conversations that promote equity and diversity and learning and unlearning. As I learn and unlearn I have conversations publicly on my podcast and privately in my everyday life to support my own learning and those I reach to further disrupt and dismantle convention, mitigate bias and systems of oppression and injustice, to open our minds and hearts, and help us (me) see what we may not be seeing. These conversations reflect my my own process, acknowledging my part, my privilege and my desire to learn and do better in connection with others as the way forward celebrating our differences, and what is needed for a more just, loving world.
We must each do our own work, internally, so that we can best and most clearly and authentically serve ourselves and thus serve those we live with and work with and connect with daily. Soliciting the support of compassionate professionals, elders, wise ones, healers gently points us back to our own innate wisdom, to our own ancestry and history and knowing that promotes our own healing and positive contribution to our lives and the planet.
Art and creativity and nature and movement are essential components to healing and thriving individually and collectively.
