I hope you’re listening to your intuition today. Or at least recognizing that your intuition is speaking to you, even in this very moment. Can you hear it? What’s it saying ?
We all have intuition. We might not hear it or trust it or act on it, but we all have it. The gift of our intuition is what happens when we listen to it, and then respond. When I heed the call I know that I’ll be moved into a new experience or a lesson that will help grow my soul. I can count on my intuition to serve my best interest. Sometimes this means, pure relief and ease, other times it means it’s time to be stretched beyond my comfort zone, and time to illuminate a blind spot or two. Trusting my intuition always feels like the right thing to do, but it is most certainly not always the easiest. “Trust” this is a welcome invitation and reminder, for me always.
Can you trust your intuition today? How has it served you, even if just today ? What small or big decision has been made easier because you trusted the wisdom from within? The more we acknowledge our intuition the more we’ll be able to hear it and benefit from it.
Over the years, my intuition has helped me leave jobs, relationships and situations that were no longer good for me, while it led me to people, places and things that did me lots of good. Like good friendships/relationships, ‘right’ therapists, schools, teachers, coaches and jobs that served their purpose for my own development and growth.
Trusting our intuition is no doubt a process. Constant pruning, aligning, clearing, attuning, understanding, listening. Trusting with a capital “T”. I experience it as a way of being in this world.
It requires awareness, curiosity, sensitivity, courage and integrity. It requires us to be honest with ourselves and make decisions that sometimes only make sense to us and no one else. It means not only operating with our five senses but with our sixth sense. In fact letting it lead. It means going through the day to day attuned to what is going on beyond what we can see with our eyes. In other words, being ordinary while tapping into the extraordinary. It is our own unique ally we can rely on as we pave our own unique path.
Here’s to honouring the wisdom within you. May you trust yourself and let your intuition lead.
These are some instances in my life my intuition helped me take the next best step. (I’m sure you can trace back some pivotal life decisions and the more day to day decisions when your own inner wisdom helped you choose, decide and act):
- when I sought out and found teachers and schools to help me tune in to my own intuition to help myself and others
- when it was time to leave a secure, well- salaried job in the world of sales and marketing to start my own coaching and intuition practice.
- when the time felt right to mark my 10 year relationship with my partner and get married (after ten years of living together).
- when it was time to become pregnant and embark on motherhood/ parenthood
- when it felt right to have my second child
and these are some more day to day examples of how my intuition shows up :
- when I’m interviewing students for childcare and I know a certain one will be the one that is the best fit for our family.
- when I receive an enticing invitation to see a show or attend a conference and I just know the best answer for me would be to kindly decline so I can take care of feeling well.
- when I ‘m thinking of someone and they send me a text or call me.
- when I’ve carved out time to work and really what I need is to rest, play or go for a run.
My intuition is my guide. I gratefully, albeit with a lot of practice, patience and courage, let it lead. It can often be effortless but quite frequently when I think my intuition is leading me somewhere it takes me on a different turn, to a new learning opportunity, so I adjust, learn, grow and move forward. I am committed, and there is no other way for me to live, it is deeply enriching and meaningful.
What has your experience been with trusting your intuition ? What decisions were made easier with the help of your inner wisdom? How has your intuition brought you into alignment with yourself?
If you want support in connecting to your intuition, in identifying if what you’re hearing is your intuition, I have programs that can support you in this. Have a look. For more articles on intuition read here. When I stumble upon my own clarity to my inner wisdom I seek the support I need to re-align and re-connect. And so in turn I love helping individuals become aware of their blind spots and beliefs that keep them from aligning with their inner wisdom. And with the connection we can have to our intuition we will blaze our own magnificent trails. May you let your intuition lead.
I’d love to hear about your experience with intuition. Share them below, along with any questions. Cheers to you.
