I’m still being being danced by this song and this night (Dance Your Intuition ). I’m thankful for that. A few days ago I was home (like many Montrealers, on a snowy icy day when school was cancelled ) with my beautiful highly spirited boys, 7 and 5 years old, feeling desperate (dramatic, I know, but it felt dramatic, relatively speaking of course) for space, support, the ‘village’, to come in and take over with plans and games and social connection. It was one of those days when I needed to dig deep. I mean that can feel like a perpetual state (It’s not perpetual but pretty consistent. Reliable. What is.) for me as I navigate motherhood and womanhood and being human really, as I am. And so the attempt to ‘be with’ rather than ‘struggle against ‘ was strong. Humbling always.
Fast forward to just the next day and Dance Your Intuition, the evening I host monthly, happened and I found freedom again. I showed up, beautiful women showed up to dance and we let go.
Embodiment can not be understated. Being grounded in our body, feeling, moving, expressing heals, resolves things, transforms us, and brings perspective, freedom, pleasure and connection to ourself and the other.
We can come to neutral. Our intuition can be heard in this place.
Saturday February 16 is the next Dance Your Intuition in Montreal. I hope you join us. Let the mental chatter melt away even if for two hours together on a Saturday night. Come dance out of your comfort zone, connect to yourself, be yourself.
